Having warned the Colossian believers to leave behind the “things on the earth,” Paul urges them to be set on “things above,” for that is where Christ, who is their life, dwells. He directs them toward this life set on Christ by use of two transformational imperatives which we ourselves must obey if we are to know a Christ-centered walk with God.
