The Parental Compassion of God
Hosea 11:1-11

Although the nation of Israel wandered from the covenant like a prodigal son, God, their Father, continued to love them with great compassion. Likewise, when we come to God through faith in the Son, the Lord Jesus, He becomes our compassionate Father who is devoted to us. Through the heart-cry of our Father in this evocative text, we recognize God’s great compassion for His own in at least three ways.
