With everything going on in the world around us today, why would we take the time to look at the history of God's dealing with Israel? What is it about this topic that leads the Apostle Paul to spend Romans chapters 9-11 discussing and developing it? What is it that makes this passage so relevant for us today?

How can so many people disregard God in our culture and yet seem to prosper? Why does God allow this to happen? What does it have to do with me and the way God works in my life?

How well do you really know God and how he works? We can only know him to the extent that he reveals himself to us. In this passage, Paul will challenge many of the preconceived notions that people often have about God. In the end, Paul's goal is to help us to get a glimpse of God and his glory.

As we see all of the turmoil and uncertainty surrounding us today, where is God in all of this? Where is the peace and hope that ought to be signs of God in our midst? How can God allow these things to be taking place? The Apostle Paul is going to tackle these questions as he continues on in Romans 9.
