In Romans 6, Paul defends the gospel from accusations that it creates a license to sin. In Romans 7, Paul defends the holy, righteous, and good nature of the law from accusations that it is actually sin.

The second banquet has arrived and Esther now makes her move, to confront Haman.

Paul continues his response to the question of Romans 6:15. Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace?

King Ahasuerus has a sleepless night and is read the records of his court. He is made aware that Mordecai was never rewarded for saving the King's life, and who better than Haman to offer advice.

What does it really mean to not be under the law but under grace? The answer to that question is also the answer to the question of whether or not we can sin since we are under grace and not the law.

Esther and Mordecai disagree on how to save their people. Esther has to decide whether she is willing to die at the hand of the king, or the hand of Haman.

Though we are no longer under the power of sin, sin is not dead. As Christians, we must continually battle to keep ourselves out of the control of sin in our lives.

We meet Haman, the King's wicked right-hand man. Mordecai and Haman rekindle a family feud generations in the making, while every Jew in Persia is caught in the middle.

We have been called to walk in newness of life. In order to accomplish this the Apostle Paul reiterates several things that we should already know and how they impact our lives every day as Christians.

We continue our study looking at the second chapter of Esther. King Ahasuerus has returned home from a multi-year military invasion of Greece. He is sitting in his throneroom and misses Vashti. God continues to work behind the scene and allows Esther, an orphaned Jew, to win the king's favor.

If the more we sin, the more grace abounds, should we just continue sinning in order to experience more grace? Since Christians are forgiven, does it matter if they just give in to sin and live any way they please?

We begin a new study through the book of Esther by studying the background, characters, and themes of this fascinating book. Throughout the study, we are challenged to look for God's activity.
