"How eager are you to share your testimony, to share the gospel? Paul had just been delivered from death by the intervention of the commander. Jabez
1 Chronicles 4:9, 10
Speaker
Sunday School,  February 10, 2019

Our Bible character today is Jabez whose name means pain, a name which was almost guaranteed to bring him many unpleasant experiences throughout his life. I Chronicles 4:9-10 is the only reference to him and contains his prayer, that has grabbed the attention of many because of the book written by Bruce Wilkinson, “The Prayer of Jabez.” Prior to his book, many people never heard of Jabez because these two verses appear in the midst of a large genealogical portion of Scripture that most people skip over when reading through the Bible. His circumstances and prayer are both important for our spiritual maturity.
