God would use Paul to perform many miracles in Ephesus to place his mark of approval on the gospel message. Not only would the works of God demonstrate the power of the gospel, but also the word of God would demonstrate his power in changed lives. The gospel would be so powerful in changing lives that a great riot ensued in Ephesus as pagan merchants tried to fight back.
