As we have seen in this text, Paul prays earnestly that the Colossians might have full knowledge of God’s will by means of “wisdom and understanding” (obedient attention to God’s Word) so that they may “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him.” Finally, he answers the question, “How do I know if I am walking worthy of the Lord?” by highlighting four specific qualities that will be true of a believer who is walking in this way.
