Acts 13:1-13
Speaker
Sunday Morning Service,  August 5, 2018

The ministry was going well in Antioch. God was blessing and they had wonderful prophets and teachers working with them on a regular basis. However, God was getting ready to give them fresh vision and call out ministers to spread the gospel.

The wall has been completed. A great revival has taken place in the hearts of the people through the preaching and teaching of the Word. The people have pledged themselves to follow God and his law. This all culminates in a time of great praise and thanksgiving to God!
Who's in Charge Here?
Acts 12:1-25
Speaker
Sunday Morning Service,  July 29, 2018

There are times when circumstances can cause us to wonder and sometimes ask the question, "Who's in charge here?" Acts 12 can be one of those times. The wicked king, Herod Agrippa I, murders James, imprisons Peter with the intent of doing the same to him, and arrogantly attacks the church. Why do these kinds of bad things happen to good people if God is in control?
The Existence of God - Part 3

God has revealed Himself in His Word, but nowhere does He set out to prove His existence. He simply identifies Himself as, "I Am Who I AM," (Exodus 3:14), a statement of existence. He is our Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer and the End of all things, existing in three Persons, God the Father, Son and Spirit. He is eternal in nature from everlasting to everlasting. The goal of the two sessions is to define Him, know Him, and reveal arguments to represent Him in our secular, atheistic society. He has made it clear that He is God alone and there is no other (Isaiah 45:5), even though there are thousands of others in the imaginations of men's minds. Knowing how to answer atheistic reasoning is important for God's children who represent Him in their daily lives.
The Emergence of the Gentile Church
Acts 11:19-30
Speaker
Sunday Morning Service,  July 22, 2018

Acts 11 describes an incredible transition for the spread of the gospel. For the first time, the gospel is being shared with pagan Gentiles who have no connection with Judaism. In the midst of this transition, God chooses to use an ordinary believer to make an extraordinary impact on the first Gentile church being established at Antioch. Barnabas, the son of encouragement, was sent from the church in Jerusalem to check out exactly what was happening there. His example of service and discipleship is a model that we would do well to follow.
The Existence of God - Part 2

Commitment to the Truth
Nehemiah 9:38 - 10:39
Speaker
Sunday School,  July 8, 2018

Nehemiah 9 is a reminder to the people of Israel of their God. As they contemplate all of the wonders of their God, how could they not enthusiastically pledge their loving obedience to him?
Gospel Power to the Gentiles
Acts 10:34-48
Speaker
Sunday Morning Service,  July 1, 2018

Acts 10 and the story of Cornelius represents a critical point of transition in the Book of Acts. Not only is the gospel being offered to the Gentiles without any requirement to become Jewish, but the Holy Spirit descends on the Gentiles in the same way that he did on the Jews on the day of Pentecost.

Jehovah God is the main subject of this chapter - who He is, what He does for His people, and what His people must do for Him.
