Acts 10 and the story of Cornelius represents a critical point of transition in the Book of Acts. Not only is the gospel being offered to the Gentiles without any requirement to become Jewish, but the Holy Spirit descends on the Gentiles in the same way that he did on the Jews on the day of Pentecost.
