God brought great judgments upon the land of Egypt so that the Egyptians and the Israelites would know His absolute power: His power over men, His power over the natural world, and His power over the unseen world. Through this display of God's power, God proves that He is the LORD, that there is no one else like Him, and that He sovereignly rules over all that He has created.
