After planting the church at Thessalonica, Paul was chased from the city by angry Jews who stirred up a mob against him. Concerned to see how the church was doing, Paul sent Timothy to check on the church and report back to him. Paul was filled with joy and thanksgiving at the report of the work of God at Thessalonica. What caused him to be so thankful about the Thessalonians? What can we learn from the example that they set?
